Internet Newspaper Code of Ethics
The Agtechkorea pledges to fulfill the mission of its era by realizing a free and responsible press. In order to contribute to the formation of sound public opinion, the development of democracy, and the advancement of culture, we will establish and put into practice our own ethical standards. Accordingly, we hereby enact this Internet Newspaper Code of Ethics and resolve to carry it out.
Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Code of Ethics is to establish the standards necessary to fulfill the public responsibility of the press and to carry out fair and trustworthy reporting.
Article 2 (Application of Ethical Standards)
The Agtechkorea applies the Code of Ethics and related regulations of the Korea Internet Newspaper Association mutatis mutandis, and on this basis establishes and operates its own ethical regulations.
Article 3 (Mission of the Press)
The Agtechkorea, based on fairness, objectivity, and accuracy, satisfies the public's right to know and contributes to the development of a democratic society.
Chapter 2 Newsgathering and Reporting
Article 4 (Accuracy and Verification of Facts)
All reporting must undergo sufficient fact-checking, and unverified information shall not be reported.
Article 5 (Fairness and Balance)
Reporting shall not be biased toward any particular group or individual, and the right of interested parties to respond shall be guaranteed.
Article 6 (Protection of Sources)
Where there is a legitimate reason, the identity of a source shall be protected.
Article 7 (Prohibition of Discrimination and Hate)
No discriminatory expressions based on gender, region, religion, disability, or the like shall be used.
Article 8 (Prevention of Conflicts of Interest)
Reporters shall not have any financial or personal interest in the subject of their coverage.
Chapter 3 Corrections and the Right of Reply
Article 9 (Request for Correction)
Anyone may request a correction in the event of an error in the content of a report.
Article 10 (Correction Procedure)
- Correction requests shall be received through official channels such as email (leehw@agtechkorea.com) and telephone (070-7605-3329).
- After receipt, the veracity of the facts shall be reviewed within 3 days.
- If an error is confirmed, a correction shall be published without delay.
Article 11 (Guarantee of the Right of Reply)
The subject of a report may raise a rebuttal, and this shall be reflected in the reporting within a reasonable scope.
Chapter 4 Advertising and Editorial Independence
Article 12 (Distinction Between Advertising and Articles)
Advertisements and articles shall be clearly distinguished and marked so as not to confuse readers.
Article 13 (Editorial Independence)
Editorial authority shall be operated independently of advertisers and external pressure.
Chapter 5 Digital Reporting and Use of AI
Article 14 (Prohibition of Abusing)
Abusing practices, such as exaggerated or distorted headlines to induce clicks and the production of duplicate articles, are prohibited.
Article 15 (Standards for AI-Assisted Article Writing)
- When using AI to write articles, fact verification shall be performed without exception.
- AI-generated content must undergo review by an editor.
- Where there is a possibility of generating false or inaccurate information, its use shall be restricted.
Chapter 6 Operation and Responsibility
Article 16 (Ethics Officer)
The Company shall designate a responsible officer to oversee compliance with the Code of Ethics.
Article 17 (Measures in Case of Violation)
In the event of a violation of the Code of Ethics, disciplinary action may be taken in accordance with internal regulations.
Article 18 (Education and Inspection)
Ethics education shall be conducted on a regular basis, and compliance shall be inspected.
Addenda
Article 1 (Effective Date)
This Code of Ethics shall take effect as of June 22, 2026.
Article 2 (Amendment)
This Code of Ethics may be amended as necessary, and any amendment shall be disclosed.
